1974, Screens and the French team

I am researching a matter and again seek the help of the sage BW community

This is from a 1974 New York Times bridge column:

A hotly debated issue the World Bridge Federation will have to decide during the next few days at its meetings in the Canary Isles is the use of screens in world championships.... The Federation's president, Julius Rosenblum of New Orleans, has substantial backing for his plan, to use a diagonal screen...

I am wanting to know the position of the French players and perhaps senior officials of that time regarding the use of screens in the 1974 Bermuda Bowl. Were they for or against screens?

The French team for that event was: Svarc - Boulenger, Mari - Lebel. Are their views known?
