AFAIK jumping at this point show INV with a good 6 card suits or 5-5 but for me this is at best a shot in the dark. You risk going down at the 3 level while 2M would make and it doesnt solve problems caused when opener is offshape  with a singleton in your suit. Furthermore you could still bid again if partner pull/correct your bid.

I think its simply better to have more GF bids for something like showing shortness in opener suit or for non slammish solid suit hoping to play 3nt from the right side rather than 4M from the wrong side.

3S is forcing but not slammish it show a gambling type of hand and suggest a 3Nt contract if opener got scattered stuff in all the other suits.

Or you could play 3S is slammish but with short clubs so that a 4C cue show the ace rather than AorK.

I agree that jumping after 2C-2D should be GF.
