2H as weak both majors (2 good examples!)
(Page of 3)

We play 2 as 3-11 hcp with 4/5 cards in each major; however we don't open flat (4432) 7-9 counts.

(The excluded hand types were getting us bad scores at pairs; I suspect because the defense/offense ratio is wrong).

The only forcing response is 2NT which asks for responses as follows:

3:  weak, 5/4 either way around (then 3 asks for 5-bagger)

3:  weak equal length suits

3:  max, 5 hearts, 4 spades

3:  max 5 spades, 4 hearts

3NT: max 4/4

4:  splinter, max 5-5

4:  splinter, max 5-5

If the opps interfere then double is used as the ask, opener does their best to give a reasonable response (using pass, X or XX as well).

Lead was A followed by a club switch (leading to a ruff).

2x-4 was a good save against a vulnerable slam; but was only worth 53% in a mixed ability field (one pair went off in 6NT).
