A curious (I think) squeeze position fortuitously arose in the course of a routine deal (IMPs). The hand went:

1) A lead

2) 10, taken by A

3) x to Q

4) 10 passed, taken by A

5) K, ruffed

6) J, taken by A

7) J ducked

8) x, ruffed

9) x to 9

So far so dull... Now, declarer plays K in the position diagrammed below (x discard from hand), and West finds himself squeezed in 3 suits...

The position is unusual in that (i) none of the 3 threats has a reentry, and (ii) declarer still has a master trump. The position just arose without being anticipated. Note that, for the squeeze to operate, the K must be played before the K (else the South hand is squeezed on the K trick).

 -/Q/Qx/K  (West)                      x/-/x/10x (East)

                            xx/-/-/Qx (South)

[PS: sorry for the rough-looking endplay diagram; I do not know how to make a nice one, the handviewer insisting in hands having 13 cards]
