West leads a low diamond. You play low from dummy of course.  East plays the 9 and you win the 10.

Now East leads a low diamond out of turn. You choose to treat this as a penalty card. So the lead remains in your hand. RHO must play the diamond at her first legal opportunity. If LHO gains the lead while the penalty card is still on the table, you can require or prohibit a diamond lead from LHO.

So--how do you choose to handle the club suit?
