I played this hand as North last night in an Eight is Enough team game, and I thought this hand was funny, so I'm posting it here to save it so that I can see it again. I don't expect anyone else to be impressed.

The East hand would not be my choice of overcall: scattered quacks, a death holding in opener's major, and vulnerable at imps. Still, the lie of the cards was particularly unlucky here. I was actually a little nervous when I left the double in, but I got a bloodbath against air.

At the other table, my teammate more wisely chose a pass, and the auction was 1-1NT; 2-2NT (NS at that table were playing Precision, and opposite a hand limited to 15 I think I'd have just chosen 2 at my second turn. But S is an aggressive player.) Looking at all the hands, I'm not sure how 2NT didn't make. At any rate, making it would have salvaged only one imp.
