So you arrive in 6 and you get a club lead which you ruff. At first glance, the slam seems unmakable due to the fact that another club must be ruffed, rendering you unable to pick up the trump suit, in addition to a spade loser that isn't going anywhere barring a miracle. However, perhaps there is a miracle in the cards after all!

After starting with 2 rounds of diamonds and getting the good news, a diamond to the jack removes the last trump. Now after running the hearts and cashing the last trump, we arrive in 2 possible end positions. (note: it makes no difference which club south keeps, if any, he cannot under any circumstance be allowed to win the last club)

In case 1, by North pitching down to 1 spade, South is now exposed to an intra-finesse, or even simply a spade play from the top.

In case 2, by North keeping a second spade, North is now exposed to a throw in, where he will be forced to break spades and surrender a 12th trick.

Either way, with a proper table read and guess, +920 is yours!
