After a vul unusual 2NT does it make sense to use 4NT by advancer as extras rather than pick your best minor ?

AFAIK most players would assume 4NT is pick your best minor. However it seems to me that hands where advancer is 33/44 and one minor play better could be less likely than slammish hands.  Maybe using 4NT as Im bidding 5m but FP are ON or at least encourage overcaller to X if opps compete to 5S.

A similar case.

4C is leaping Michaels showing 5H+5C GF. What is probably the best meaning for 4NT here ?

Note that im mostly thinking from a theoretical perspective here since from a practical point of view its dangerous to have remote agreements that depend on the vul.

4NT as pick your best suit is better
No strong opinion
4NT as showing extras is probably better but too impractical.
4NT as showing extras is probably better.
