An extra jump

Kibitzing a reasonably good pair at the bridge club, I observed this auction against quiet opponents:

1

1NT (Forcing)

4

In the event opener was only 5-5 and was lucky that 3NT wasn't their best spot.

Presumably 3 is universally forcing. So what should 4 be?

Rank your top 4 choices, 1 being your top choice.

Natural, a 7-6 hand
Natural, a 6-5-1-1 hand
A self-splinter, maybe something like 8-1-2-2 in a hand just short of a forcing opener
Opener had it about right: make sure partner won't accidentally pass in a hand uninterested in slam opposite less than an opener
