East's pass over 3♠ showed some extras, with a hopeless hand he would have bid 4♥. Double of 3♠ would have been business. EW had no other agreements for the situation.
Apparently, the contract had practically no chance. Even 5♥ would have been too high.
So, whose fault is it? Who is to blame?
