I posted it as bidding problem giving N's cards and a large majority agreed over the 2 rebid after the Dbl of 1N.

I think that a 3 rebid would be more appropriate giving that you are holding a 6/4 with a nice  suit (and you know partner will have some fit for you since he bid 1N, and he will/should have something for you in  suit as well)  with A AK and so you could have some reasons to think that 5 might have play.

Yes, South 3 is very conservative, but inviting to a minor suit game without shortness and first round controls facing a partner who could not rebid anything else than 2 over opponents dbl of 1N would not be an overbid?
