Vul and form of scoring don't matter; I'm more interested in discovering whether there is expert consensus on this form of 4thSGF sequence.

We play a tricked-out SNT 2/1, in which 1X-1Y/1M and 1-1M/2 are forcing one round; 2 is 4thSGF. IN this auction, 2N now would be 12-14 or 18-19, and 3N would be 15-17 not appropriate for opening 1N.

I have made this argument to this partner before, in the context of a Bourkeish 1-1/2-2 structure where 2 is 3rdSGF, and lost (for no good reason, I might add): I maintain that the proper call when holding four cards in the 4th suit is to raise it; strongish 4x1s are thereby revealed.

What is your call, and why?
