This was the auction at one table. Does it make any sense? Not exactly sure what 3 was (I believe that at the least it showed 4s), but not sure it particularly matters. Obviously if 3 were non-forcing, bidding past 4 would be patently ridiculous. But even if 3 were forcing, it would seem logical that it be a courtesy bid, a bid made in case responder had huge slam interest, that a bid other than 3 would be made instead if overcaller had slam interest of his own (I guess it would possible to document otherwise), a bid over which responder showed no further slam interest. The video below is the hand being reported. I had heard it took 3 minutes for the 4 bid to be made, I clocked it as more like "only" 2 minutes. Whatever arguments were made supporting the auction, they didn't stop the result from being adjusted back to 4 making 6.

I expected the hesitation. I didn't expect what happened at just past 1:31. While the auction was still technically not over, West was asking South about the auction. At some point, North popped open the screen and interjected himself into the discussion. Wow! Is this really proper, acceptable behavior?
