CNTC Semi-Finals. Four teams remain in the hunt.

The pre-tournament favourite, L'Ecuyer, selected McMullin to play in the Semi-Final. McMullin won all four sets in the Q-F to upset Amoils 148-90.  But the three experienced and talented partnerships on the L'Ecuyer team (208-91 winners in QF) appear to be unstoppable as they attempt to win the CNTC for the second year in a row.

Nicolas L'Ecuyer, Kamel Fergani, Nicholas Gartaganis, Judith Gartaganis, Frederic Pollack, Zygmunt Marcinski

Gray McMullin, Bryan Maksymetz, Ben Takemori, Joel Martineau

The other semi-final match features the ageless Irving Litvack squad against perennial contender Bob Todd who must be the local Winnipeg favourite.  This rates to be another cliff hanger (Litvack prevailed 119-118 in the QF!) and is too close to call.  History suggests Litvack has the edge but...

Irving Litvack, David Lindop, Doug Baxter, Vince Oddy, Roy Dalton, Ian Findlay

Bob Todd, Doug Fisher, Brad Bart, Danny Miles, Steve MacKay, Neil Kimelman
