Analysis by Fred Ferguson

Here is an impossible deal, double dummy says 4, but there is no way to get there.

Bidding: West with 15 high card points opens the bidding 1 (NOT 1NT). East bids 1NT Forcing. West rebids 2 (maybe 2NT) and East bids 2 showing the false preference for spades. West now bids 2NT to show extra values and East corrects to 3. After East 3, it might be possible for West with good spades KQ1093 to correct to 3, but I see no way beyond 3.

Play: On the lead of the 8 South's K is now pinned. it is hard to fine any more logical play than presented here. North/South are entitled to win 3 aces.
