West passes and North opens 1. East might say something - double or 2, so South is happy to be off the hook and passes. West shows over a double or just passes over 2, so North then can bid either 1NT over 1 or double over 2. In either case, South probably introduces , and then it seems like it's going to be pretty hard for NS to stay out of (although maybe not bidding game.)
Which is unfortunate because the making game is NT! It's really hard to convince South's super weak hand that's a good idea, especially in the 9-card fit, so it seems like declarer plays and winds up losing all those top cards in outside suits, and if the defense is really on top of things, another loser to East's ruff.
