Analysis by Michael Berkowitz

West opens 1. I hate doubling with the North hand. I also hate passing with the North hand. Those are the only two options other than an, "I'm sick of not playing any hands" 1NT. East could pass, or bid 1, but I'd probably try 1. South bids 2 and West makes a Support Double(s) . North passes, having bid enough. East is stuck. I would try to stop low by playing 2. South might bid out to 3 or double, but pass is also reasonable. Everyone else passes happily.

South could lead either a club or a heart. I think a heart seems most likely. Leading a trump is sometimes a good idea when the opponents might need to ruff in the shorter hand (and they only have 7 trump between them). Here though, it likely gives away a guess in the suit. The play gets complicated from that point, it seems like declarer has to draw trump eventually and the 3-3 split will help. Anything could happen on this board.
