Do you add 1Hcp for all 4 Aces?

In the old Goren (and other) books there were various evaluation guidelines that still have some merit today, such as:

1) subtract 1hcp for 4333 pattern

2) subtract 1hcp for an ace-less hand

2) add 1hcp for all 4 aces-

Often these rules/guidelines are considered slightly more important for suit play that for NT play, but still have some merit for NT, IMO.

Yesterday, my partner, a solid experienced club player and teacher open 1D with: AJ9 AQ76 A954 A3   (playing 2NT=20-21)

(That’s Board 20 in yesterday’s open game)

After the inconsequential and neutral result I mentioned that one of my “eccentricities” was to add 1hcp for the 4 aces and open 2NT here, does she ever do that?  She was very insistent that she “never lies in 1st-2nd chair”.

I didn’t want to make this a bidding problem about her particular hand because then many would just say that 19-21 or 19+ -21 is the “right” range and we were playing it all wrong, or 20 is not enough and 21-22 should be played, or trot out complex systems.  I really just would like a view on BW population‘s inclination to “add a point” for all 4 aces in NT opening situations.  Please vote and comment as you deem appropriate.

I always (or almost always) add 1hcp or upgrade for all 4 aces, and would open 2NT (20-21) here
I sometimes/usually add 1hcp or upgrade for all 4 aces, and would open 2NT here
I sometimes/usually add 1hcp or upgrade for all 4 aces, but would not open 2NT here
I do not add 1Hcp or upgrade for all 4 aces and would not open 2NT here.
I never open 2NT
