Earning your Average in Platinum Pairs
(Page of 2)

You expect to score an average on a board if you don't do anything particularly sub-optimal in a normal contract. In lesser events that may be true, but in Platinum Pairs your opponents make you work hard even for an average. Case in point. You reach 4 on a normal auction on these cards in the 3rd session.

Opponents play UDCA. That was some lead and continuation. Any other lead you would have bean able to ruff a and made an easy Ten tricks. It's a little more work now.

You open a 15-17 Notrump and get to play it in the SIXTH (and thankfully the last) session.

Not that there was much chance for you to score too many tricks, but this defense has shut out that suit very quickly. Standard carding by opponents.
