Bridge Winners has learned that the European Bridge League Disciplinary Commission has reached a verdict in the case against Lotan Fisher and Ron Schwartz: they are each banned from EBL events and activities for 5 years and are banned from playing as a partnership for life. They also have to pay the cost of the investigation and prosecution. The reasoning behind the decision has yet to be released; it is expected shortly. The appeal time period begins after the full decision is released. That appeal is likely to go directly to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
