a) Double is showing a 4 or 5-card major + a 5 or 6-card minor:

Responses:

i) 2♣ is asking for major.

ii) 2♦ is asking for minor.

iii) 2♥ shows six or more. (if double was in the pass-out seat, bid 2♦)

iv) 2♠ shows six or more. (if double was in the pass-out seat, bid 2♥)

 

b) 2♣ is showing both majors:

Responses:

i) Pass shows six or more clubs with no major-suit support.

ii) 2♦ shows six or more diamonds with no major-suit support.

iii) 2♥ shows equal or longer hearts. (if 2♣ was in the pass-out seat, bid 2♦)

iv) 2♠ shows longer spades. (if 2♣ was in the pass-out seat, bid 2♥)

 

c) 2♦, 2♥, or 2♠ and 3♣ are a transfers. (natural in the pass-out seat)

Double is showing a 4 or 5-card major + a 5 or 6-card minor - 2 is asking for major:

i) 2♦ shows heart suit - 2♥ shows four or five hearts.

                                       2♠ shows four or five spades.

                                           (doubler passes, bids 3♦, or bids 2NT to show clubs)

                                 

ii) 2♥ shows spade suit - 2♠ shows four or five.

                                         3♣ is pass or correct.

Double shows a 4 or 5-card major + a 5 or 6-card minor - 2♦ is asking for minor:

i) Pass shows a five or six diamonds.

iii) 2NT shows five or six clubs.
