First three classes

Following up on Chris' post, I'd like to address the issue of just what BW players and BW teachers think the curriculum should be for the first three lessons of an absolute beginner's course of say three tables. Not a kids class, not a bunch of MIT grads. Just your typical empty nester, garden variety, group of students that seem to make up about 90% of most new player classes.

I think we may find that there could be variations in method, and that that may be based on geography. It may vary from region to region, from big city to the suburbs or to more rural communities, I think the biggest difference, if any is found to exist, will be in retirement areas where, like tennis or golf, playing bridge is almost a requirement for acceptance into the social fabric of the community.
