IBF Hearing Venue Changed

In a decision published today (5 November), the Israel Bridge Federation's Special Ethics Committee announced that it was moving the venue of its open hearings scheduled for Sunday November 8 and Tuesday November 10 to a larger venue.  The hearings originally were due to be held in a law office in Tel Aviv; they've now been moved to a clubroom where the IBF conducts the later stages of major competitions and some other tournaments.  The relocation was due to the large number of IBF members interested in attending both sessions.

Meanwhile, it appears that Lotan Fisher and Ron Schwartz, who have been accused of cheating, have failed to meet the deadline for submitting their answer to detailed charges against them.  It is not clear when -- or perhaps even if -- an answer is forthcoming before the November 8 hearings, which are open to the public.

Thanks to BW member Rolf E. Olsen for alerting me to its publication.  The usual sources in the IBF did not inform me in advance.

I'm not sure whether I'll be able to attend the Sunday hearing.  Or, for that matter, if and when a detailed protocol or report will be filed.  Perhaps there's another BW member who'll be there, and would like to keep the community informed.
