In the Well: Josh Donn

Josh DonnJosh Donn is the author of the popular Bridge Winners series "Breakin' the Rules" and one of the younger stars of the game. On Monday he steps into the well to answer any questions you may have.

Josh grew up in Syracuse, New York, and currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. He manages the auditing and accounting department at a large casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Prior to that he worked as an actuary in Los Angeles.

In 2006 Josh won the World Junior Teams Championships partnering Bridge Winners co-founder Jason Feldman, with teammates Joe Grue, Justin Lall, John Kranyak, and Ari Greenberg. In 2008 he won the Jacoby Open Swiss Teams, again in partnership with Feldman, then in 2011 broke into the public eye by winning the Blue Ribbon Pairs by two boards with Roger Lee in a pick-up partnership.

Immediately following their Blue Ribbon win, Josh and Roger switched to playing Precision and began working on their partnership. They currently play Precision when non-vulnerable and 2/1 when vulnerable.

Josh is currently working on a book with Barry Rigal entitled "Breaking the Rules" (notice the 'g'). The book is based on a series of articles about non-intuitive plays, originally written by Rigal, and will hit bookshelves in a few months. In his free time he likes to watch Food Network and play with his three young nephews.
