The 2011 Bermuda Bowl took place in Veldhoven, The Netherlands. The Dutch team of Sjoert Brink, Bas Drijver, Simon de Wijs, Bauke Muller, Ricco van Prooijen, and Louk Verhees captured the Gold, USA 2 came in second, and Italy placed third.
Kevin Bathurst grew up in South Carolina, Tennessee, and California, before studying Computer Science at Cornell. He eventually settled in New York City in 2005, and became a full-time professional bridge player. Kevin and his wife Catalina Robles still live in New York in their own apartment of the Murray Hill brownstone. The happy couple is expecting their first child shortly after the Bermuda Bowl.
When not playing bridge Kevin likes to play frisbee, and other games. He also has a reputation as being excellent at Trivial Pursuit.
