After 1N (14-16 or 15-17) responder must attend to:

1) Finding best strain,

2) Finding best level (weak, invitational, forcing)

3) Enabling Penalty double - especially White vs Red.

When opponents intervene with an UNKNOWN 1-suiter, when is it right to find out what suit they have (and look for penalties) compared to bidding immediately? [I would presume when we are very weak and want to preempt, or strong and want toGF(and want to limit their conversation) we shouldbid immediately]. Are there other considerations?

How should we parse the bidding strategy among Double (stayman), an immediate Lebensohl(not in our set), and a delayed 2N (Is this Lebensohl,2-places to play, or something else)? Do you play negative doubles?
