Louk Verhees

Louk Verhees has been a regular on the Dutch national team since 1997, mostly playing with Jan Janssen. In 2008 he teamed up with Ricco van Prooijen, and the next year the couple won the 2009 Springgold Cup. This year they have been keeping pace, winning the NEC Cup in Yokohama. At this years’ Bermuda Bowl they will make their debut as a couple on the national team. Louk lives by a simple adage: don’t play brilliantly, but make the fewest mistakes. Besides being a professional bridge player he works as a software engineer. Louk is married and has two daughters.
