Going into day three of the Bermuda Bowl, the leaders were FRANCE, GERMANY, and THE NETHERLANDS.
In match seven, GERMANY, SWEDEN, and USA2 won big, FRANCE won by less, and USA1 and THE NETHERLANDS lost.
Match eight saw USA1 crush GERMANY and BULGARIA slaughter AUSTRALIA. USA2 defeated THE NETHERLANDS, SWEDEN beat INDONESIA, and FRANCE top ARGENTINA. MONACO nicked SOUTH AFRICA by 2 IMPs, maintaining its position in the middle of the pack.
GERMANY continued to suffer in the third match of the day, losing 49-0 to ITALY, and slipping out of qualifying position. MONACO won against CHINESE TAIPEI, creeping closer to the top eight. BRAZIL, FRANCE, and SWEDEN played very close matches: BRAZIL and FRANCE won by 3, and SWEDEN lost by 1. AUSTRALIA, BULGARIA, and THE NETHERLANDS won more comfortably.
USA1 and USA2 met each other in this match, and USA2 came out on top, 28-15, and led the field with four days of round-robin left. After three days, the top teams were:

In the Venice Cup, the American teams' fortunes improved somewhat, with both teams scoring two wins and a loss. THE NETHERLANDS and CHINA maintained the top two positions all day. Like on day two, the teams in the top slots largely stayed there, just shuffling around a bit amongst themselves. BRAZIL, which had stood 8th after day two, fell to 15th. FRANCE dropped only to 9th.

AUSTRALIA ruled the day in the d'Orsi Trophy, crushing FRANCE, then beating CANADA and SWEDEN. USA1 began with a blitz but then lost the next two matches, and USA2 did the reverse, losing badly in match seven and then winning twice. FRANCE recovered from its initial loss to AUSTRALIA with two wins, standing third. ISRAEL had a strong day, winning twice and losing by 1.
