This deal was recently presented as a contest problem over on doubledummy.net (I'm sure a few of you have seen it there already).  I composed it to illustrate something in particular that I'll discuss in an article in a couple of days.  Feel free to speculate about what it might be.  In the meantime, perhaps you'd like to try it as a double dummy problem.  I believe most solvers have not found it all that difficult.

The first trick is provided in the diagram, free of charge.

As usual, please don't post stuff researched with deep finesse (or the contents at the answer link below, of course).
