Matchpoint Strategy in a Strong Field

In preparation for San Francisco, I’ve been rereading “Matchpoints” by Kit Woolsey. In the introduction, he states that “ an unusually strong field, such as the finals of the Blue Ribbon Pairs, some of the ideas may need modification..” He never discusses what modifications might be appropriate in a strong field, and my searches have not turned up any discussion of this at all. Any ideas out there on how one might approach matchpoint strategy in a strong field? Mr. Woolsey?

I should mention that I expect my card play to be at least one notch below the field in the finals of the Blue Ribbon Pairs.

Thanks all.
