Playing modified Polish Club for the first time with a new partner, I picked up the following hand in yesterday's Top Bkt Compact KO Final in Chicago National:

2 was alerted and explained as intermediate 11-14 hcp. With no agreements against intermediate 2 we assumed that Lebensohl is ON and we reached a super aggressive 3N against 2 world class players from France: Cedric Lorenzini(West) and Jean Quantin (East) who won the LM pairs last week.

On a low lead when the dummy came down, the prospect did not look bright.

How do you plan the play?

Declarer won the first trick with A over West's Q. There are 4 tricks, 1 trick and 2 tricks or 3 tricks (against bad defense) so going down 1 or 2 is likely. If can be setup before they attack , we can make 3NT. The good news is that we have sufficient entries to dummy to cash tricks if set up. The bad news is the feeble suit.

I played my singleton , West played 8 covered with 9 from board and East won with K. East returned a low and declarer won the trick with J while West discarding a . Declared played 7 to 9 in dummy pretending to finesse West for Q. 7 was played from board and East won with Q. After a bit of thinking East cashed K while West discarding 10 . East then returned another low and West conceded all the tricks.

Here are all the four hands:
