New ACBL Convention Charts - general club impact

With the four new ACBL convention charts (Basic, Basic Plus, Open, Open Plus) going into effect in about a month, I have been asked by my local club's Board of Directors to present information on what impacts we might see if our open club games used the Open chart when we now use the General Convention Chart.  I have read the ACBL monthly bulletin articles and so have some of our board members.  However, it is not easy reading and they are interested in several examples of possible changes that might be seen, particularly stuff that would become legal under the Open chart for which our members should be prepared.

The present plan is for our open club games to use the Open chart and for our 399er games to use the Basic Plus chart (although the Open chart for the open game is not yet locked in stone - there is a small chance the Basic Plus chart might be used in the future for the Open game).

I would consider this ACBL club to be moderately strong, with games six days a week and the open games have several players with 2500 to 5000 masterpoints plus many 500 to 1500 masterpoint players.

QUESTION 1:  What are some (at least mildly commonly used) conventions and treatments that would become legal under the Open chart that our club members would not be used to seeing because they were not allowed under the present General Convention Chart?

QUESTION 2: What are some (at least mildly commonly used) conventions and treatments that would be illegal under the Basic Plus chart that our club members (and others throughout ACBL land) might now be presently using under the General Convention Chart?
