Opening lead constrained by UI?

Follow up to lead problem: http://bridgewinners.com/article/view/lead-problem-2-u0wrxmi8f4/

The hand took place in the Norwegian Open Pairs Championships two weeks ago.

The tournament was played with screens; with NE on one side of the screen and SW on the other side.

During the auction there was two breaks in tempo. The first one was by north after 3. Unless SW where able to hear the movement of bidding cards thorugh the screen, it wouldn't be clear to them who hesitated.

The second BIT was by north before the final pass. That was the only call on that side of the screen, thus it was evident for all who hesitated.

South found the winning lead of the T.

The question is, was this/could this be caused by UI for the hesitation(s).
