Our Money's worth?

Turned out to be a "costly" hand for us. With the only overnight train back from the tournament about 25 minutes away, we started discussing this hand in the railway waiting room. Next thing we know, there is 2 minutes to the clock. We rush out, train is on the platform across the crossover Bridge! Tried our best to get there, could not. We then hired a car to drive us to the next station about 65 Km away. That was Rs 1300 down the drain and an hour of edge of the seat excitement! Fortunately the train was delayedenrouteand we caught it.So here is the hand anyway ...

IMP Pairs. Lead is Spade Six(2/4 leads). If you put up the Jack it is covered by the Queen. What is the best line? Defense generally keeps playing back a spade. Deals are HAND SHUFFLED if that makes a difference in your line.

Do you have a way we could have saved the money? Embarassed

The play choices are many, here is a sample few.

A. Insert Jack (1) if it holds pull a club to the Jack. (2) If covered - win in hand and play low club.
B. Insert Jack (1) if it holds pull a club to the Jack. (2) If covered - win, play Ace and back a club.
C. Play low - (nine) win Ten - run the heart Jack/Ten. Win spade return in hand and run the remaining heart.
D. Play low - (nine) win Ten - play Diamond Jack hoping for a duck all round or a 4-3 diamond break.
E. Other lines - please specify.
