I'm not sure whether to run this as an article or poll.

It was the first deal of saturday's game, and i was telling the table in advance that we normally score 30-40% less well on this round than the game overall.

My partner then found herself in slam with these cards after an overbid + misunderstanding. (Rotated 180 degrees and spots approximate)

The defenders led J, East contributing the Q.

You win and lead the trump ace and another trump, East winning the king and returning the diamond jack.

You are playing against honest and average players; you can believe everything they do.

Should you play for both the diamond and spade finesses, just the diamond finesse and plan to read the ending or just the spade finesse and plan to read the ending?

More to follow if appropriate.
