West leads the 4 of hearts to dummy's king. Declarer plays club to the queen and king. West plays a second heart to the jack as dummy sheds a diamond. Declarer plays a diamond to the king and ace. East plays a third heart and dummy pitches a club.

Declarer now foolishly claims saying, according to him and dummy, "the jack of clubs is dropping so I have 4 spades, a diamond and 2 clubs." East and West say they didn't hear anything about the club dropping though East's objection to the claim was that his jack wasn't dropping.

South has about 2500 MPs. EW each have about 4000 MPs.

How many tricks does the defense get?
