The 2011 Bermuda Bowl took place in Veldhoven, The Netherlands. The Dutch team of Sjoert Brink, Bas Drijver, Simon de Wijs, Bauke Muller, Ricco van Prooijen, and Louk Verhees captured the Gold, USA 2 came in second, and Italy placed third.
The Dutch team will enjoy home-field advantage for the 2011 Bermuda Bowl. While the roar of the crowd is not a factor at the bridge table, competing in their home country still provides the Dutch team a sense of comfort and familiarity. All 6 players have extensive international experience and high hopes for this tournament. Unibet likes their chances as well, offering them up at 8 to 1 to win the event.
