The second card in a suit

Playing third and fifth leads with upside-down count, partner leads the 7 of diamonds and dummy has two small. You have the A62. You win the Ace. The question now is which diamond you play next, assuming that this would be a count situation. In the interest of simplicity, I am going to collapse the possible answers to four.

I play the 6 if I lead the suit. I make the same play if I was following suit or discarding instead.
I play the 2 if I lead the suit. I make the same play if I was following suit or discarding instead.
I play the 6 if I lead the suit but would play the 2 in either or both of the other cases.
I play the 2 if I lead the suit but would play the 7 in either or both of the other cases.
