Third board of today's 8 table Mitchell, I picked up this nice collection, but East opened 1 on my, er, right [edited from "left"] and, surprisingly, West jumped to four.  Double seemed obvious, and I led the diamond singleton, 9,10,K. At trick two, declarer led a trump...

...the Ace! I was so stunned I botched the defense, never leading a spade despite partner's obvious signal on the trump. Yep, this one goes to the top of my list of embarrassments.
