KO IMPS FLIGHT A Grand National Teams Final Quarter. You and partner play Precision and have drawn the stronger pair.  Your team is ahead by 6 IMPS in the final quarter (7 boards of 30).  Your partners on paper are stronger but have proven to be more volatile than your pair. Your opponents play 2/1 GF Strong NT and gadgets.  They are sound players.

What if anything should either partner have done differently? You are sitting EW.

Were East to choose a 3 advance, it shows a stop.

One question is, does West's balancing double show a hand as possibly good as this.

Another is, should 2N by East be Natural or Lebensohl? (Lebensohl is on the card when after a double of a weak two).  If lebenshol, should West bid on opposite a possible 9 count?

A third is should East advance 3 instead of 3, do you call 3?  Do you do so over 3?

Can East logically see that 3N is better than 4 here?

FWIW, we won a small partial swing on this hand (6 IMPS).  However had we reached 3N we win the event hands down.  As it was we lost the finals by 1 IMP.
