Why "Like" a BW Comment?

The simple "like" button plays a useful role in this forum. I thought we might want to share/discuss how and why we use it! (Please note that I am not asking about liking articles, as that plays a practical function on this site - bookmarking them for future reference by the liker.  That practical purpose does not apply to the comments we all add, making the focus on comments more about our attitudes).  Yes, I too wish we had the ability to produce check box polls and not radio button polls, but perhaps someday...

Considering the possible reasons why you have chosen to like comments to articles and quizzes on this site, what motive or motives are most important to you?

I agree with the comment / it resonates with my point of view
I 'like" a comment to avoid repeating the same message
I find the comment humorous/creative
I find unexpected value / learning / insight from the comment
I want to thank the poster for their comment
I want to show that I align with a point of view (taking sides)
I like the person commenting / I am thinking about following the poster
The comment is well articulated, whether I agree or not
I want to encourage the poster to contribute more
Any two or more of the above (please comment)
All of the above
None of the above (Please comment)
