Linda,
Thank you for pointing out that difference to me. I will read about these other Committees and bodies if I ever feel the need to. I became very concerned after this “case” was printed on the last page of the 'Summer 2015 NABC Bulletin" in bold type heading and everyone (+/- 1600) commented on BW about this case. It is when all these posts on BW started streaming in that I started gleaning info on how the powers that be at ACBL make some of their decisions based on some of the information provided. It caused me concern. Jan Martel always has the most informative posts regarding ACBL policy and plans!!

Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for that inside information. I have no faith in the ACBL after the Passell ruling. Don, you have wonderful ideas but it took the ACBL 3 weeks to fix the glitch when our membership passwords were compromised and then their computer crashed(170,000 hits??). And where will the $$ come from as somebody pointed out? I recently read that the 25 BoDs usually vote 13 vs 12

Lie detectors are used in other competitions and can be beat by sociopaths but can be very useful if done pre and post the Round of 8. My understanding, which maybe be wrong, is that Broye presented only some of the videos that Kit and others have put so much effort into reviewing. Kit, continues too admit the data is not complete yet on BZ. Ken C.was 100% sure after 50 yrs. of playing that BZ were cheating after a a questionable bid Adam made. Really? Kit says the he is not done with his data collection and everybody else should help him or refrain with their endless suppositions with contributing to the tedious data collection as it irks me when I see KC says “we are”

Ross,
The ACBL already has many, many rules and regulations that they interpret as they see fit. Their most recent ruling IMHO and many others puts into question their integrity and logic.

Hi Geeske!

What a wonderful article! It was very generous of you to share all your feelings about being a sponsor with us. See you at the club.

Hi Kevin,

I see you are a silver life master. Phones ARE not allowed! The minute the opponent starts talking on his phone my hand flies up so fast for the Director and if he continues …3 IMPs and then if they get abusive MORE.

Hi Mike,

I read about this because it made it to Facebook. I thought not you what would you possibly have to gain after all these years? You were one of the first pros and one of the most honest, nicest, well respected, etc. I am so sorry, Mike. I hope this gets overturned soon. How nice of the ACBL to publish it in the NABC Bulletin.

“Years ago there were only two acceptable excuses for not leading the suit your partner opened in this case; having no cards, in the suit and sudden death” Alfred Sheinwold

He's my idol! I remember this quote. I am still breathing. I am on lead and I have a diamond. I believe my partner would like me to lead one.

Hi Robert, thank you for your answers. Bobby's comments are the most optimistic I've heard in a decade! Somebody in the ACBL should immediately run IMO w/ Candace's enlightening info; this woman is spot on with the demograghics ACBL should be targeting.
Additionally, there used be programs like “Odyessey For The Mind” for the intellectually gifted high school students.

Televise Warren Buffet and Bill Gates playing bridge with the lovely Mrs.Gavin Woolpert and the lovely Mrs Jason Feldman.

And, HEY to all Cal fans. I went Cal to grad school; attended all football games and have remained an avid fan and attend games when in the bay area.

When I was told last year that the Netherlands had as many bridge players as the USA all I could ask is how is that possible?

I reminisce about the old “Barry Crane Days”; large field open events and the midnite zip swiss when the pros played for fun.

Returning to bridge after 20yrs+ as a now “modern” intermediate player, IMO, as a frequent CA regional tournament player; Gordon is right on. However, BBO GIB Robots play SJS. Almost nobody other than novices in CA clubs plays responsive SJS unless playing mini splinters which were a lot more popular 20 yrs ago. Love aabaf!

Wow! I am with, Leo(BBO King) and Ron on this subject. Travel(LA &OC);card fees; ($10!!!); lack of partners if new to area even if not novice; very few MPs for money as opposed to almost same card fees for regionals which are everywhere in CA; lots of old and new faces; lots of gold for your bucks; fun! AND BBO IS DIVINE! Randy, you would be shocked if you read the feed on BBO complaining to Fred about raising the card fees from $1 to $1.5
