When was there a 100% game in any of the massive field tournaments?

FWIW
The winner of yesterday's day long 8-board 25-cent MP tournament (out of 1354) had a 90.98% game.

<80 is a snap call. I'll go under 78 for you. How much are we wagering, Aaron?

I'm afraid you don't understand how simulation programming works. The basic and advanced bots always use the same seed in the random number generator across tables. This means what you described doesn't happen.

All the pay to play tournaments use the advanced bots. All the free tournaments use the basic bots. Use also can rent either and the basic bots are free he first day of every month. Tomorrow would be a good practice day.

Giovanni: The advanced bot uses a much longer simulation. It is far better at play/defense.

I've never seen the mouse over NOT do this, so I assume so.

I just checked the BBO Forums. There is no stratification for this event.
My expectations on the number of entries is now down about 75%.

Fair points.

If they only pay one strat, then all the C's are drawing dead and might not enter.

When the had free daily tournaments that you could participate in both IMPs and MPs everyday, they had to raise the cap from 7000. Before they added the 3x a week rule, I regularly saw and competed in 10k+ fIsles.

Did the announce the stratification for the event? Interestingly, could there be more than 3 strata? Presumably the BBO programmers can handle those things that the ACBL COBOL code can not.

Ties are much, much harder in best hand style than in non-best hand style with GIB.

For anyone interest in this tournament, please see the news today from BBO. Note the rule below about having three hours to complete a session. This is one rule I don't love, since it is nice for those of us with busy schedules to pay what we can throughout the day.

Up for grabs - ACBL Masterpoints (Red and Gold), as well as an ACBL NABC title!

It is a 4 day event, played on BBO. 24 boards per day. You choose your own start time, and have 3 hours after you begin to complete your 24 boards.

Registration opens July 9. Register between July 9-19, pay $40 for the entire event. Register between July 20-23, pay $50 for the entire event. You can use BB$ to pay.

It is similar to the Daylongs or Robot Duplicate tournaments in BBO - you play with robots, “Best Hand” style.

This is open only to ACBL members. But as long as you join or renew your ACBL Membership by July 21 you are eligible!

>>and could not have done better.

Well then, your best was not good enough on that day, in that tournament.

Perhaps the better response is “nice job” to the victors.

To your point, the WSOP has an online event during the series. And it's a “real” event that gives a bracelet.

Randy:
Again, that isn't how pools work. Why not play a daily on BBO and see for yourself?
