I think the sanctioning bodies should request voluntary forfeiture. Then, we could just live with the result. No law suits. And, we know more about the character of the cheats and their teammates.

Thanks, everyone. Partner had AK T973 KQ753 J8. I passed and we took three tricks – 4SX making 4. The 5H bidders win the day. Even though 5D is a better contract, partner would almost surely correct to 5H. Then, AD and ruff would set 4H an extra trick. With a spade lead, 5D can make.

I think BBO has great teaching potential. I would like to see an option for a student to play hands that robots bid.

I use the Rule of Two. After 1N (P) P, I bid if I have two distribution points. Thus, second seat doesn't need to act with a balanced hand.

I've had more problems with mania than depression. Have you had issues with mania affecting your bridge?

I'm surprised that so many voted for 2S. The hand seems better than just 2S. How about 2H? Wouldn't that show a good raise to 2S without pushing the bidding beyond 2S? After all, partner may hold a Yarbrough.

I would have to have some additional authorized information to do anything other than 1H.

Since my double doesn't suggest any tolerance for clubs, I hope it's natural, good red suit fit, and max. Something like 2335 or 1(43)5 distribution.

NT might play better from partner's hand. I'll start with a natural and GF 3C.

Yes; but, the game would not be significantly diminished by eliminating it. And, eliminating partner's body language would be good.

@aviv. I agree – there should be no discomfort. My point is that I missed the UI conveyed by my partner's alert.

Huh? It would take no Vugraph operators – only commentators.

I don't think that the opportunity leads out of turn or insufficient bids add value to the game.

Bridge has always had issues of UI. Technology could largely eliminate that. For example, BBO might have a “championship mode” where each player only saw other players bids or plays at his turn. Obviously, this would seriously slow down the game.

I remember how disconcerting it was to not hear partner's alert when I made a conventional call on BBO.

I wish ACBL would allow this in the General Convention Chart.

I've played than 2N shows honor doubleton or three or more spades for some time – so long that seems standard.
