I voted for 6s because I thought partner bid 4d. As is, we've bid our hand so I'd pass.

Those of you bidding 2N. Firstly are you expecting partner to understand it? Secondly what are you planning to jump to 5c over either of his rebids and hope he understands what kind of hand you have?

That is a good point. Is another argument in favour of leading a spade that it looks like they have 25-26 points without a long running suit, so there is less need to set up 5 fast tricks, and consequently setting up 2 slow spades is more likely and more attractive?

+1 to Bessis being a b*tch for not apologising publicly. Where is the youtube video? The tweets? He should spend the next 3 years apologising to every bridge player he meets. He should also apologise to random people he meets in the supermarket, in case they play bridge.

I am very upset that I am yet to receive a personal apology from Monsieur Bessis, where is his class?

I have done the maths and it turns out if he spends the next 6 months working 120 hours a week, coaching and playing every waking moment, using dummy breaks to sneak in a quick trip to to wolf down a burger or have a pee (preferably at the same time), IF HE DOES THAT he will have just enough money to buy a Superbowl commercial where he can finally apologise to the public he so deeply disappointed.
