The best way to play it is to show length and strength over responder's bid.

In my opinion weak 2 must be directed to 3NT or 5, so should never be a bad hand. However, I think game can be made here only due to bad defense, most of the times. I think partner has 1-3-6-3.

I think the best way to play is 4-4 BAL MIN or 6-5 MIN.

It's very boring to read so many speculations here and the opinion that a player cannot play for a different country makes me sleep…

The problem with PASS is making partner understand later you have 9HCP and didn't DBL. You can miss a cold SLAM when partner has something like: Kx AQx x AKxxxxx. It's dangerous to miss a game also, if partner can't DBL 2D, with 4 cards in Hearts and one or two cards in Spades.

I believe it's not cheating to open weak hands, even if this treatment is not explained in the Convention Card. That's my opinion.
J Lall and Kevin are clean players and everybody knows it. If they failed to explain their style properly I do not know, but talk about cheating is just too much.
I want you to understand that we should suspect of our opponents ONLY when they do very unusual things and get away with it all the time.
And we should NEVER try to obtain advantage from penalizing opponents for anything that didn't affect the table result.
I'm am really trying here, shake your hands and say: “neeexxxtttt”!

I'm not talking about following the rules, I am talking about searching for anything “suspicious” (many players do it) in order to obtain advantage from the law. I heard about some director calls that are, more than embarassing, disgusting…
I am not talking about the specific situation but the competitive environment in general. Nevertheless, I can notice that in this specific situation both teams fought to either penalize or disqualify their opponents and I find it very ugly. Sorry, my friends from both teams, but you also get to hear what you do not want, sometimes.

Bridge gets very boring when people start fighting over regulations or call director to penalize opponents. I see this all the time and it's the reason why many players leave the game after playing in a serious event. Bridge is becoming a very boring thing to do, really… I think we must start changing our ways or the game will go down the drain. Get strong, play tough, and forget about crying, please.

To me opp's DBL shows will to bid, probably with void in clubs. My partner's pass invites to 7 and after my pass over 3S, I have more than enough.
