Which is what you get when kibitzing at the table…

I would not like to be warned that the actual board is going to create a swing.

Yes, it's OK. Thanks for asking my opinion.

There are commentators at the other table too. Let them do their job.

The most I would do is to remark that the opening lead could make a huge impact if the other table were in slam. Then everyone could switch if interested.
But of course they themselves can see it is a borderline slam and can switch without being encouraged.

A commentator can't be my enemy.

Not sure what you're driving at, Gene.
You say ‘anyone can hit “Other Table”, and be transported’. That's exactly what I say. But if I am being told what is happening at the other table I am deprived of a free choice.

Roland, I really have difficulties understanding spoken English.

I never listen to voice commentary (because of language limitations) but that does not help: commentators-in-writing do the same.

It's hard to draw the line as there are many influencing factors. I'd say you should contribute at least one cover card/trick.

That was a very useful read for me, until I read it I was not aware how many times I had violated those sensible guidelines.

As I mentioned, open the other room in another browser window. Then you can switch between rooms at any time, in fact you can arrange the screen so that both rooms can be watched simultaneously.

1) I don't understand why you think it advantageous for me to learn what happened in previous boards at the other table. I like the thrill of waiting for the result to appear on the screen of my table. In most cases I choose the table playing faster and when they finish I switch rooms.
2) My table's commentators are probably less informed about why things happened at the other table as they did.

The 14 IMP lost on tha last board averages to only 0.25 IMP/board. But USA1 lost 3.04 IMPs per board. That is what I think is too much (at least on an Edgar Kaplan scale).

So it is forcing to game, while 4 is open to debate.

In my view the leaping michaels bid must be reserved to 4-5 losers. A wider range is unplayable because of the level. And if it is 4-5 losers then one slam invitation will do: you decline with 5 but accept with 4 losers.

I may be a pessimist but to play 4 as forcing does not seem sensible to me. They can easily double you in 5 while they must exercise some caution to double you in 4. And if they can double you in 4 you can be certain of a trump stack and play accordingly.
To play 4 forcing as a slam invitation does not seem necessary. You can use 4NT for that purpose.
