Good article Bill; and I guess the victim is still seething about it. When a player of his standing gets placed under suspicion we all get to hear about it; however I'm not sure I was aware that he had been formally acquitted.
I'm sort of glad (tic) that you and he get to continue to beat us up on the rare occasions we meet at the Bridge table.

On BCL the partner of the bidder alerts and explains the calls just as we do f2f; problem solved.

Wouldn't you want to be in game on 1 & 2 at imps?

Just a thought: are people declining the ‘honour’ because of some of the previous inductees?

Peculiarity of the BW hand viewer; even though you specify the dealer it doesn't show unless you put in some bidding.

2NT for me shows 8 losers, 3 card support, no singleton or void.

Surely its much easier (guaranteed?) for opps to find a spade fit over 1.

Also what do you do after 1H-(1S)-p-(4S)?

I think 2 is clear without the overcall, not convinced after it.

…and history…
I can't see me not bidding 5 opposite what I consider to be minimum for 2 (which is about what North has).

We have a simple rule for all our NT overcalls, promises stops in suits bid on our right but not those bid on our left (but doesn't deny them either).

Since I would have opened (1) with a balanced 10-11 if I had a 4 card major then I can't have one now.

RR: I wouldn't pass 1H with that hand.
