Not sure any lead will beat 3NT, or even hold it to 3. (But that said, I would double at IMPs.)

Mike, I am really sorry for your pain. And I believe you, Democrat or not.

I chose 4H, too. With a six-loser hand, I wanted to play game, and I had the safety of having limited my hand on the previous round.

I just ran the first LBIAD? event in Memphis, TN, yesterday, so, at this point, we have no idea how many players we can get into lessons and/or newby games.

I spent $35 on advertising (ACBL will pay 75% of that if they approve our ads…lol.) and ended up with over 50% more students than I had hoped for. I wanted to stop at 40 and save the rest for a later event, but our club manager had loftier goals, and I ended up with 64 students, plus 12 on a waiting list for the next event.

Because we are a non-profit club, I was able to get our event on the calendar of several newspapers in Memphis and in North Mississippi, and most students came from those listings.

Participants ranged in age from 11 to 97. (A lot of talk for the youngsters, but they stuck with it and seemed to enjoy the day.)

Our volunteers were awesome! An experienced three-man crew cooked, served lunch and cleaned up, Another three man committee registered students and stuffed goodie bags, and we had a table helper at each of our 16 tables.
