I'm afraid you are right I'm not a fan. But you inspired me to look at movies and I found the movie life is beautiful that I love, so I think I might watch a movie one of these days. Any suggestions? just not a Bogart one… :-) I get closer and closer from being deported from USA.

I like winning and it would be fun winning a resinger or something of the sort but I'm pretty happy just being able to compete in them.

For Nationals, I like the west coast but I hate the time change and playing at 1, much prefer the 10 AM start and being at the west coast I think its craziness not to start at 10. I really enjoy Hawaii, San Fran and Denver.

For Regionals The Naples Regional is so far my favorite but I would be happy to take suggestions.

For International travel, Australia and Paris. I have not been to Spain yet and that is my holiday of choice ALONE with Gavin. I wouldn't mind a mediterranean cruise. With the Children we tend to go to Canada and Sweden, no other choices grandparents comes first. It would be fun to take them to a Disney cruise in a couple of years.

Thank you, we are coming up to our ten year anniversary, so I think we did wait a few years. We both wanted to have children young and we were very lucky that we found each other early enough to have those years of wild living before having children.

My strengths as a player is that Im thoughtful and easy going. Im trying really hard to learn my notes, it is really difficult because at home when i have time to do it Im often really tired. So its not the fact that Im not trying to learn its just I'm just sitting and starring at a wall when I do it. So Im working on making the notes easier maybe cutting a few convention at this moment of time.

I loved the nearby mall next to the hotel, best food court ever. I found it being a great place for walking, taking the trolley to waterfront and going for a nice walk in perfect jeans and long sleeve t-shirt weather.

I know a lot more about recruiting in Sweden, which is one problem. I don't know enough about the US marketing. Which is weird since its the most important thing there is. In Sweden the Swedish bridge federation is one organization. In the US there is ACBL and USBF. Also In Sweden a lot of young middle age(at least) work for the organization, In the US a lot of older people volunteer their time. Also not every decision should go trough Board of Directors and similar institutions.

Maybe more programs need to be done separately in each state because the US as a country is to overwhelming to even think of. I think few people in California care about senior centers and junior programs in for example Florida….

My number one goal in life is a happy family. See bridge above

What do I think is the key to happiness? Moderation. working but not working to hard, working with something that makes you happy and proud, caring about the right things and not to much.

Also 3 things, exercise brain, exercise body and social interaction. Our body needs endorphins, our brain needs to be stimulated not to get bored(bored=unhappy).

We should teach young children to play bridge because it teaches them so many important skills for when they get older, social skills with other age groups, The power of deductive reasoning:
Our Opponent open 1H, me and my partner have 8H together there for opponents partner must have 0. Its something thats really important in everyday life. Husband and wife, wife is happy then husband must realize that he should let her sleep late every day.

Even if the young children does not take up bridge right away, they might take it up later, at University, before they start a family, when their kids have gone of to college and they have lots of room to fill, when they retire, when they are so old that they have a hard time moving their body, there is always bridge and as long as we do a good job keeping it alive, I think people will always find their way to the greatest game.

Im really good at exercising, making my children happy. I can improve my social skills and my work situation. I guess I need to eventually work on them to become blissfully happy for the rest of my life.

Main goal is to have fun and make a living. Make as few mistakes as possible and win as much as possible. Do I have any special events I want to win? no. I hate losing and I hate making mistakes but I have not other hang ups, no crazy superstitions or people I mind playing against.

How do I accomplish my goals:
I'm working with Jill and getting support from Steve and Bobby. Its been very helpful. I ask questions and listen to people even if they are weaker players then my self.
When my children gets older I plan to play more bridge. I would like to play more bridge strictly for fun. I have no doubt if I keep playing bridge and that is fun that I will get better. Sometimes when you play bridge at a high level its always hard and its never OK to make mistakes, a lot of pressure. I enjoy, Speed ball, crazy bridge tournaments, playing with kids and beginners and seeing what wild situations you end up in, right now I have very little time for those sort of things.

well im not speaking Swedish to them, but we sing in swedish, sometimes we read Spanish and my daughter and I often speak in a language she has made up. She mostly yells it out before she jumps in to the pool, its her version of Swedish.

1. Yes I know all of the team/coach/captain very well.
2. I think they won because the must have had great team chemistry. Not sure how much you know about Swedish bridge but the greatest pair on paper was not on the team. Peter Fredin and Bjorn Fallenius. Big drama. That might have helped the Swedes in the end.

The third pair loves bridge and knows their system and are great guys. the two other pair are probably more familiar to you, Fredrik and Johan great players, great friends, match make from heaven. The other pair Peter Berteau and Per- Ola Cullin is also a great combination, new found love from bridge. Peter being a new healthy version of the same old Peter.
3. I think the odds are against them but I believe that they will do well:-)

Small things happens all the time, 5 years ago a man I played against while playing professionally with my partner was so sure that I played basketball in his granddaughters middle school team. He was so adamant, he felt like he had seen me before so it must be from her practice. My partner Joyce tried maybe you saw her on the cover of the acbl bulletin. NO it must have been during basketball. Well he even after we told him that I'm much to old for middle school he still thought I should take up the game since I am so tall for my age! He just could not get that I was not 13.

1. If it was Sweden versus USA It would have been strange. But I feel more American then European. So no not at all.
2. Joe is the most fun to play with. When he is able to count his points and bid properly not one more bid then everybody else he will be a great player. I think the new partnership Brad and Joe, will be a really entertaining pair to watch. So the answer is he is all that and so much more

Nope, we work when ever we can also during holidays. We get to spend so much time with our kids/each other every given day that we don't have the same need for designated holidays. Before kids I would enjoy, swimming, the beach, we used to live on the beach. Lots of books, visiting major cities, traveling, card games and board games. Now I love disney, visiting grandparents, meals that are easy to make and get eaten(flavor not as important), the park, the pool, playdates. Now seriously my favorite thing to do is to sleep or when the rest of my family is sleeping and my house is quiet and I can just go in and look at everybody.

I see no reason why US would not have the best team again. I think junior events need to be treated with respect and there need to be more juniors and more local and national junior competitions. There need to be a junior program in almost every state that have people hired to work to promote bridge.

I dont remember the details at this point. It will probably always be my nr 1 win. Just how much happiness it gave us and still does. I do remember people wanting to buy me drinks but I wasn't old enough.

Card-game beside bridge. I love card games, Swedish games called kasino (bygg kasino), but a bunch of other games, mostly swedish, norrlands knack, benet. I guess I need to write a book about swedish card games in english:-)

Yes we plan to teach our children bridge, no master plan yet. I think 6 is a pretty good age but every kid is different.

He gave it up, can't blame him I kind of gave it up too. He is great at language in general so he can still speak it enough so when we need to communicated without our daughter understanding, its way easier for him to speak Swedish then for him to spell words in english to me.
